  1. Manual–Dry 

 

This type of standpipe system is not linked with any constant water supply. The fire department attaches to a hydrant and caters to the system. 

 

  1. Manual–Wet 

 

This type of standpipe system is also not linked with any constant water supply. The fire department attaches to a hydrant and caters to the system. The standpipe is stuffed inside with priming water for minimizing the time it consumes to distribute water for the hose station outlets.
